This is amazing! Andoni Iraola confirms incredible Liverpool news

Andoni Iraola has confirmed a brilliant update that is very exciting.

Liverpool don't have it easy at the moment. Bouncing back from the miserable period under Arne Slot was always going to be difficult. The Dutchman had left Anfield in such a dire state by the time of his departure.

Now, Iraola has to work on regaining the trust of the supporters and creating a team capable of challenging at the very top once again.

Ambitions are high at Liverpool not only because of the club's recent success under Jurgen Klopp, and the Premier League title won by Slot but also because of its expenditure.

Liverpool have invested heavily in the transfer window of late, and fans expect results. Big results even.

Liverpool's plans vs Man City

One of the biggest games in Iraola's career is coming up on Sunday. The Spaniard will lead his Liverpool side in a very heated game.

These matches have become intense rivalries. But this time around there's even stronger emotions ahead of the game. With Man City being found guilty of 114 breaches of Premier League rules, pending an appeal, Liverpool fans are coming into the game feeling angry.

City have allegedly cheated financially for almost a decade.

In that time, they beat Liverpool to the league title several times.

Now, this is an opportunity to strike back and Iraola's men are expected to take the game to their rivals - even if they are without key attacking players like Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak.

The plan will likely involve Lewis Koumas, who will have an opportunity to start the game.

Iraola confirms incredible injury news

Not having Isak and Gakpo will be a huge loss. We are talking about two of Liverpool's top-scorers. However, it could have been even worse.

The Reds feared that they would go into the game even more wounded.

That's because Jeremy Jacquet missed France's last game of the international break, and it seemed like he could be touch and go for this one.

Thankfully, Iraola confirmed the incredible news that Jacquet is going to be available for selection against City in his press conference ahead of the game.

That is simply incredible because Jacquet has made the difference for Liverpool at the back so far. This will be his biggest test yet and he will be very much needed coming up against a star studded City team with the likes of Erling Haaland raring to go.
