Caoimhin Kelleher - 9/10

How can Arne Slot drop him for Alisson now? Earned his headlines by keeping Mbappe out with a crucial penalty save in what could be his final game before returning to the bench. Has come on leaps and bounds.

Conor Bradley - 10/10

One outstanding moment in the first half, executing a sliding tackle on Mbappe which Paolo Maldini would have been proud of. Denied by Courtois at the start of the second half but supplied a beautiful pass for Mac Allister to score the opener. Had one brilliant moment in dispossessing Bellingham too. A monster display. Let's hope his injury isn't too serious.

Ibrahima Konate - 7/10

Konate has been in great form for Arne Slot so far this season, and didn't have an awful lot to do defensively in the first half as Liverpool dominated the possession. Didn't cover himself in glory in the lead-up to Brahim's offside chance after the break.

Virgil van Dijk - 8/10

Probably the most-involved Liverpool player in the first half, instigating attacks by having plenty of possession. Rattled Mbappe with one big foul. Easily dispossessed the Frenchman on the stroke of half-time to prevent a shot at goal.

Andy Robertson - 7/10

One good cross just before half-time was begging to be converted. Struggled to get to grips with Lucas Vazquez however and won't have done himself any favours with Arne Slot in conceding a penalty. Made up for it with a great assist for Cody Gakpo.

Ryan Gravenberch - 7/10

Gave away a silly free-kick on Mbappe and booked shortly after. Kept things ticking over in possession.

Alexis Mac Allister - 9/10

Grew into the game, gradually becoming more influential as the contest wore on. Slipped in decent forward passes to both Nunez and Diaz which could have resulted in Liverpool goals in the first half. Booked for a foul on Arda Guler but opened the scoring after the break with an unerring finish. Bent one just round the post shortly after. Also almost made a goal for Bradley. Back in form.

Curtis Jones - 9/10

Was involved in the final third, setting Nunez up for one good chance before striking over from the edge of the box. Earned a corner with another shot just after half-time. Embarrassed Modric with one sublime piece of skill before setting up a chance for Mac Allister.

Demonstrating every week he belongs at this level. Subbed.

Mohamed Salah - 7/10

Very positive start, supplying key passes for both Diaz and Nunez in order to create chances. Twisted Mendy's blood for the penalty call. No excuses for missing from 12 yards though.

Darwin Nuñez - 7/10

Liverpool's liveliest attacker in the opening period. Had a great chance saved early on by Courtois, which was almost diverted home by Asencio, but then tangled with the Spanish defender which earned a booking. Gave another clumsy free-kick away outside his own area before being denied again by Courtois twice more before the end of the half. Subbed.

Luis Diaz - 7/10

Not always involved in the buildup to the fullest extent but was on the end of numerous chances regardless. He put one short corner high and wide before pulling a shot the wrong side of the near post. He was kept out by Courtois twice more before the end.

Made the result safe by nodding home a textbook header.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 6/10

Replaced Jones late on.

Joe Gomez - 6/10

Filled in for Bradley after he went off injured.
