Liverpool have a lot of talented players among their ranks.

However, if they're wanting to start competing for silverware again, they need to bring in even more top class players to try and fight against their title rivals.

But, since the Reds don't have an endless money pit, they also need to rely on their academy to produce some players for them.

This was something that Arne Slot failed to do with the Dutchman often choosing everyone else over the Reds' academy graduates.

Curtis Jones is the most recent player from the Reds' academy to have been linked with a move away but, now that Andoni Iraola is at the helm, it feels like the Englishman may have had a change of heart.

But, that doesn't mean that other players can't also break through and get into the Reds' squad with one of their academy graduates now getting a perfect move to seal his future.

Amara Nallo has joined HJK Helsinki on a season-long loan

One of the main positions Liverpool are lacking depth in at the moment is centre-back.

The Anfield outfit have four senior options among their ranks but, since two of them have never played a minute of Premier League football, it's unclear whether they'll have what it takes to hold their own in England's top flight.

But, one thing is for sure, the Reds' future is bright.

Alongside Giovanni Leoni and Jeremy Jacquet, they have many other centre-back prospects who could all play important roles for the Anfield outfit in the future.

One of those options is Amara Nallo. The 19-year-old centre-back may have already been handed two red cards during his Liverpool career but, from seeing how he's performed in the Reds' youth ranks, it's clear that there's an extremely talented player within him.

So, the fact that he's now got a season-long loan move for HJK Helsinki couldn't have come at a better time.

"HJK is closing in on Liverpool's U21 team captain Amara Nallo (19). According to my information, it's a loan deal," journalist Eetu Ikola shared via his personal X account.

"Nallo, who is already listed on UEFA's pages in HJK's squad, has played three matches for Liverpool's first team."

Amara Nallo has a season to prove that he belongs at Liverpool

Nallo may have already played three first-team games for Liverpool during his career but, the fact that two of them ended up with him being red-carded is a bit of worry.

This hot-headedness is not something that a Premier League centre-back needs as they often need to be calm and composed so that they don't make mistakes.

However, the fact that he's not really had much senior football throughout his career probably has something to do with that.

But, now that he could be featuring in the Europa Conference League on a weekly basis and getting regular first-team football, now is his time to shine.

Virgil van Dijk will probably be exiting Anfield next summer and, since Joe Gomez will be 30 years old, there's definitely room for some new faces.

Indeed, a solid season of Finnish football doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be Premier League ready but, even just the experience of senior football and being relied upon by a team will go a long way.
