There's a new Mo Salah and Sadio Mane coming to Liverpool.

The partnership between the two stars of African football was one of the most devastating attacking duos the Premier League and Champions League have ever seen.

At their peak with Liverpool, the pair combined blistering pace and ruthless finishing to dismantle even the strongest defences.

Salah’s ability to cut inside from the right, glide past defenders, and finish with precision made him a constant threat, while Mané’s explosive acceleration, sharp positioning, and clinical edge from the left created a perfect balance.

Together, they stretched defensive lines to breaking point and became club legends while forming a formidable duo that will be unforgettable at Anfield.

What made their partnership so special was not just individual brilliance, but their understanding of each other’s game. They had their differences and disagreements but on the pitch they both helped out each other and pushed each other to be even better.

On the biggest stage, they were relentless. In the Champions League, they tore through Europe’s elite, playing a key role in Liverpool’s 2019 triumph. Domestically, they powered the club to Premier League glory, terrorising defenders week in, week out.

Defenders simply could not cope with their speed, directness, and unpredictability. For several seasons, Mane and Salah defined Liverpool’s attacking identity, an era where fear followed them onto every pitch they stepped on.

Richard Hughes' task will be now to recreate this duo at Anfield again.

And it's already clear what the plan is. Liverpool's Sadio Mane heir is here and he's slowly coming to the forefront already.

Rio Ngumoha was just 14-years-old when the Senegalese left Anfield, and then he arrived two years after Mane left as 16-year-old.

Now it's the young teenager who is finally getting people as excited with his performances on the left-wing as Mane once did.

There's a similar style of play in Ngumoha to Mane. The way he loves to drive at opponents, the way he drops his shoulder and causes problems for his opponents is very Mane esque.

His goal against Fulham was proof of that. It was shades of Sadio Mane scoring against Arsenal during the 2017/18 season.

So in Ngumoha, Hughes already has his Mane heir. But who will replace Salah? That's the next question and there is an obvious answer to this as well.

According to a report from SportsBild in Germany, Liverpool are looking at Bazoumana Toure and Yan Diomande as the potential arrivals to replace Salah.

And the latter is obviously the ideal solution.

Diomande has that same speed and intensity that Salah once had. In the Ivorian international, Liverpool could replace Salah's stardom and output as well.

Having proved at RB Leipzig that he is a sensation, Diomande is the only winger in the world who is affordable for Liverpool and who has what it takes to replace the Egyptian.

And most importantly, it looks like there is a genuine chance he ends up at Anfield. Diomande's father supports Liverpool and he has made it no secret playing at Anfield would be a dream come true.

So, knowing how Hughes operates this is a move that looks inevitable.

And when it happens, Liverpool will have created the perfect partnership. With the next Salah and next Mane both coming to create havoc.
