Bid IMMINENT for preferred Trent Alexander-Arnold successor
Liverpool are making plans to REPLACE Trent Alexander-Arnold. The long-time right-back has announced he will quit the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.
There remains the possibility that he could transfer to Real Madrid for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup although that will require a nominal fee to be paid when the special window opens for competing teams.

The Reds have got Conor Bradley raring to go with the 21-year-old capable of deputising for Trent over the last 18 months.

But the Northern Ireland international has had to overcome significant injury troubles, meaning club bosses are looking elsewhere for cover.
It looks like Richard Hughes and Arne Slot are going to sign a senior option in the summer transfer market in order to share the burden with Bradley.
Frimpong bid imminent
One of the top names has been revealed as Jeremie Frimpong, the 24-year-old Bayer Leverkusen wing-back.
The Dutch international - perhaps more suited to playing higher up the pitch - has been a well-established Liverpool target over the last number of years.
And now it looks like a bid could be IMMINENT for the former Manchester City youth player. That’s according to Empire of the Kop, which states that an offer is currently being lined up.
“Liverpool have duly identified Jeremie Frimpong as a priority target for the summer and are expected to make their first move for the Bayer Leverkusen defender soon,” the report states.
“The Reds are understood to be preparing an opening offer in the region of €35m-€40m (£29.8m-£34.1m) and want to complete a deal for the 24-year-old as quickly as possible, with a determination to advance negotiations quickly.”
Aina, Vanderson and Dodo on the list
It was claimed earlier this week by the Athletic’s David Ornstein that Frimpong was interested in a move to Anfield and that suggestion has been backed up by the latest report.
“The Netherlands international is believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League and could be amenable to joining the Anfield giants if an agreement on terms can be reached,” the report states.
Liverpool have also got several other players under consideration with EOTK claiming Vanderson of Monaco, Dodo of Fiorentina and Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina are all on the shortlist.

But it finally feels like progress is being made. Trent’s decision to leave was certainly a setback, getting the week off to a poor start, but now we have confirmation that plans are afoot to move on.
