Yan Diomande is one of the most sought-after attackers in the world at the moment.

The Ivorian has been setting the Bundesliga alight this term as he's already contributed to 20 goals across all competitions.

Although his natural position is on the left-wing, RB Leipzig have also used the 19-year-old on the right which is exactly where he'd fit into Arne Slot's plans.

However, due to how well he's been playing, many other clubs from around the world have shown an interest in acquiring his services.

But, after what the attacker has said about Liverpool, it feels like he could be on his way to L4.

Yan Diomande says that the Liverpool transfer rumours are only making him better

Leipzig are demanding a fee worth around £87 million to prise him away from the Red Bull arena this summer.

On paper, this seems like a fair deal, especially since the Reds spent about £69 million on Hugo Ekitike at the start of the campaign.

But, since he's only 19 years old and he only has two seasons of Bundesliga experience under his belt, it feels like a massive risk.

This risk hasn't seemed to put Richard Hughes off as the sporting director seems to have the youngster at the top of his shortlist.

And, as mentioned, since the rumours about Diomande's future have been rife, the Ivorian has shared his thoughts on the situation and what it means to be linked with a team of Liverpool's stature.

"I'm here, and first and foremost, I have my health, and I work hard every day," he said to Africa Foot.

"Hearing these rumors about big clubs like PSG, Chelsea, Liverpool, and others interested in me only motivates me even more.

"I'm keeping a smile on my face, staying cheerful, and pushing forward."

It's clear that Liverpool are going to be in need of another rebuild this summer.

Salah and Andy Robertson are just two players who are guaranteed to exit L4 this season which means that a couple of massive gaps will need to be filled straight away.

Diomande would be the perfect replacement for Salah as he's versatile and clearly has a keen eye for goal.

Indeed, his transfer fee is rather steep but that doesn't mean that he won't be worth it.

The fact that he's already this good at 19 years old is also a massive bonus as it means he still has plenty of room to grow.

And, if the interest shown in him by Liverpool and other big European clubs is pushing him to be better, Liverpool could end up with an extremely talented player on their hands.
