Liverpool have agreed to sign one of the fastest players in Europe.

Liverpool are heading into a massive summer, and there's a real feeling that the club is about to look very different by the time next season rolls around. Change is happening everywhere, from the manager's office right through to the playing squad, as the Reds prepare for life under Andoni Iraola following Arne Slot's departure.

The decision to bring in Iraola feels like a big statement. Liverpool could have gone down a safer route, but instead they've put their faith in one of the most exciting young coaches in Europe. After the job he did at Bournemouth, it's not hard to see why. He turned them into one of the Premier League's most entertaining teams and built a clear identity that made them difficult to play against.

That's probably the most exciting part of his arrival. You know exactly what you're getting with an Iraola team. They play with intensity, press aggressively, attack quickly and never seem to stop running. It's a style that feels like a natural fit for Liverpool and one that many supporters will hope can bring back some of the energy and chaos that made the club so successful in recent years.

Of course, the changes won't stop on the pitch.

Training sessions are expected to become more demanding, player roles could be tweaked, and the way Liverpool prepare for games is likely to evolve as well. Whenever a new manager arrives, there are always adjustments, but this feels like more than a simple change in leadership.

That's because Iraola's appointment is only one part of a much bigger project. Liverpool are in the middle of a wider rebuild, with changes taking place across the squad and behind the scenes.

The club's recruitment strategy is evolving, younger players are being prioritised, and there is a clear focus on building for the future.

This summer isn't just about a new manager, it's a new era at Anfield.

The face of the squad is going to change. Liverpool are going to have a massive summer with lots of young players coming in. More importantly, they are going to add speed to the attack.

They brought in Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitike last summer, who are both rapid players but that was not enough. More are going to be on their way this summer.

It's why Liverpool are targeting Yan Diomande, he's rapid and one of the fastest players in terms of top speed in the Bundesliga. The deal to get him is tricky. RB Leipzig want a lot of money for his services, and Liverpool will be looking to negotiate a reasonable price.

That might take a while.

But in the meantime, Liverpool have added more firepower, which they needed to for their attack.

Victor Munoz. Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Liverpool have triggered his release clause and verbally agreed a move to bring the Spaniard to Anfield.

It's all happened quite fast. Munoz's transfer came out of nowhere and looks like it was agreed rapidly.

That's apt because Munoz is a very rapid player. At a team like Real Madrid, he was considered the fastest player in the squad, even when Kylian Mbappe was there.

Watching clips of him, he's one of the fastest players in European football. With him, Diomande and Ekitike back fit, Liverpool are going to have a lot of speedsters in the team.

That is of course if there is no hitch in the Munoz deal, and Liverpool can get Diomande over the line. Lots of work still to be done, but the busy summer is off to a promising star.
