Barcelona are ready to sell a player who could be exactly what Liverpool need. The Reds are chasing a saviour.

Liverpool must replace Mohamed Salah. There's no two ways about that - they were already lacking production from out wide and now that's gotten worse.

Victor Munoz goes a long way to helping the problem and we're certainly excited about his arrival. He won't, however, be enough. In fact, we like to think Liverpool would have signed him irrespective of Salah's departure.

Signing someone to play on the right is now imperative and while Yan Diomande was the priority target, that ship has now sailed. Liverpool must move on and find someone new.

So here's an unusual option: Roony Bardghji. The Swedish winger endured a difficult debut campaign with Barcelona as injuries reared their head.

The 20-year-old is reportedly available for purchase now after Barca agreed to sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund - and that could be ideal timing for Liverpool. Though, not as the ultimate Salah replacement.

Finding that Salah replacement this summer is a nightmare and quite honestly, we're not sure it's possible. The market just isn't there on that flank - we're not sure it's every been this poor.

Instead, finding a tide-over to buy Liverpool an extra season to get it right may be the sensible option. Someone, surely, will pop up over the next 12 months who can be the proper Salah replacement.

Bardghji and Munoz could hold things down for that year, though. Especially if Liverpool can get the Swede back to delivering his best.

The winger was outstanding for Kobenhavn before moving to Barcelona but his underlying numbers remain good in Spain. He's still delivering the dribbles, the touches, the passes, the chances - Bardghji just needs more time and patience.

Liverpool may be well-placed to give him that this season as they wait for the true Salah successor. The worst-case here is that he's not good enough, which is a risk with every transfer.

The best-case? That Bardghji regains his confidence and his output, becoming an elite winger for a bargain price.
