Julian Ward now ready to pull off incredible swap deal

Julian Ward is ready to pull off an incredible swap deal for Liverpool.

It's early days for the club's returned sporting director. Ward has been busy getting to grips with the seismic size of the job he has on his hands.

Liverpool is no longer an easy team to control. There are so many complications in the squad. In terms of putting this team together, Richard Hughes has made massive errors.

He's signed big egos, spent a lot of money on so-called superstars only to realise these players are not really as good as he thought they were.

Now, Ward has to come in an fix it all. He's got to make some tough calls on some of Liverpool's current players but also figure out a way to strengthen the squad with the budget at his disposal.

Why it's all over for Florian Wirtz at Liverpool

Unfortunately, one of the biggest culprits of the Hughes era is probably Wirtz. He was such an exciting signing. However, he has failed to live up to the hype.

Right now, he's not even close to the player Liverpool thought they signed. He is a shadow of himself. He's struggling to control the ball, struggling to adjust to the pace of the Premier League.

Simply put, it's not working out. And a lot of the supporters are realising it as well. Wirtz is just not the player Liverpool need right now.

His performance against Man City, where he was completely absent in the game, only solidified everyone's belief. This was an opportunity for Wirtz to step-up and to defy the scrutiny. But he failed to do so, and was subbed off. That's a clear sign, it might be curtains for him at Anfield.

Julian Ward to pull off incredible Wirtz swap deal

Now, Ward is open to the sale of Wirtz. The German is also attracting the attention of several big clubs. According to Ekrem Kunor writing on X, Wirtz is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Chelsea.

There has also been a previous report which confirmed Bayern were interested in Wirtz.

At the same time Space ITK is reporting that Liverpool's representatives are in contact with Michael Olise. Liverpool are currently the most advanced club in negotiations for his signature.

So, Liverpool want Olise, and Bayern want Wirtz. There's an obvious solution here. A swap deal.

And what an incredible deal this would be. It would solve Liverpool's Wirtz problem and help them to acquire one of the best right-wingers on the planet right now in Olise.

Based on the two latest reports, it looks like Ward is ready to pull it off.
