Wow! Liverpool wonderkid could be the next Luis Suarez, he's special

Liverpool could have the next Luis Suarez as an exciting wonderkid is attracting interest.

He was rash, sometimes irrational but the Uruguayan was an adorable figure at Anfield.

There was something different about him at Liverpool. During a period when the club was struggling to find its feet, Suarez was the rare bit of magic that could make you forget about everything else for 90 minutes.

He was an entertainer in the truest sense.

You could never quite predict what he was going to do next. Suarez could take the ball in a ridiculous position, surrounded by three defenders, and somehow come out the other side with it still at his feet. He could score goals that looked impossible, create chances from absolutely nothing and produce moments that you simply could not dream up yourself.

That was the thing with Suarez. He made football feel like a game again.

Liverpool were not always great during his time at the club. In fact, there were plenty of difficult afternoons. But having Suarez in the team meant there was always hope. Even when Liverpool were struggling, you knew he could produce something extraordinary.

His 2013/14 season was the obvious peak.

The goals, the assists, the outrageous finishes and the sheer personality of his performances made him almost impossible to stop.

There have been plenty of incredible players at Anfield, but Suarez belongs in a different conversation.

He might just be the best player Liverpool have ever had. Even better than Steven Gerrard and Mo Salah who definitely contributed more to the club and are bigger legends but perhaps even they didn't come close to Suarez at his peak.

There's definitely an argument to be made about that.

Suarez's journey was never really easy either. He started his European career at Groningen. A club very few teams take notice of and yet a club who has a knack for helping superstars reach their potential.

Virgil van Dijk first made a name for himself at Groningen. So did Arjen Robben.

Groningen was a special part of Suarez's journey as well. He scored his first goal in Europe here and really kickstarted his career.

Now a very talented Liverpool wonderkid is hoping to follow the same path.

Peter O'Rourke is reporting that Groningen are interested in Kieran Morrison.

The Liverpool youngster has been involved with Andoni Iraola's first-team squad in pre-season but it's clear that with the likes of Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye potentially coming in, there won't be many opportunities for him to catch the eye.

Last season the Northern Irishman managed 22 goal contributions in 26 matches for Liverpool at U21 and U19 level. He was in incredible form and even made his first team debut in the League Cup and the FA Cup.

A player with a brilliant left foot, Morrison is a special player and he could be a huge asset for Groningen in the Eredivisie.

Like the Dutch side gave the platform for Suarez and Van Dijk to express themselves at senior level and make a name for themselves, it could do the same with Morrison.

And then he could come back a stronger and better player after his loan spell. In the process, he could also become the next Suarez, earning a move to a better team before eventually ending up in Liverpool's senior side again.
