Video: Steven Gerrard appeared to be talking about Thiago's goal against Porto at training

Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara scored a superb goal from outside the penalty area against Porto at Anfield last Wednesday night.

It would be fair to say that Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard arguably rated the Spaniard's strike.

As you can see in the footage below, the former Red appeared to be chatting to his assistant about Thiago's goal before an Aston Villa training session.

When the 30-year-old found the back of the net during the aforementioned Champions League group stage fixture, we were having flashbacks to some of Gerrard's strikes for Liverpool.

The 41-year-old scored quite a few world-class goals for Liverpool between 1998-2015.
