Former Newcastle United forward Alan Shearer has named Anfield as his favourite away venue.

The 51-year-old said that the Liverpool supporters would pay him a bit of respect.

The Anfield faithful will always pay tribute to a top player. Shearer was very much that.

The forward scored 206 goals in 405 appearances for Newcastle United, which backs up the aforementioned argument.

We would have loved to have seen Shearer represent Liverpool. But, it just wasn't meant to be.
