'Unbelievable' star confirms he's ready to join Liverpool
Liverpool had a massive fall from grace this season.
Arne Slot hugely underdelivered which led to many fans falling out of love with their football team for some time.
In fact, some weren't even tuning into games towards the end of the campaign as they all knew exactly how things were going to end.
Although the Reds managed to earn qualification to the Champions League, they should have done an awful lot better than they did.
That's why several players are already being linked with an Anfield switch ahead of the summer transfer window.
Many different names are being brought up but now, one of the may Liverpool-linked players has just confirmed that he's ready to make the step up.
Yan Diomande oozed class during Ivory Coast's 2-1 win vs France
Yan Diomande has been one of the most heavily linked attackers with Liverpool this summer.
The 19-year-old has been setting the Bundesliga alight with his performances with RB Leipzig slapping an over £80 million fee on his head.
Alongside Liverpool, several other clubs have also shown an interest in acquiring his services with his lightning quick pace and his versatility among his best selling points.
Obviously, the World Cup is just around the corner so Diomande will be able to showcase his talents on a worldwide stage but, even before then, he's still proving his worth.
He represents Ivory Coast on the international stage and, for the first time in their history, the African country beat France 2-1 on Thursday evening.
This win was inspired by Diomande's performance and helped prove that the youngster is more than ready to become an important part of Liverpool's team next term.
Yan Diomande's performance vs France in numbers
Diomande, who has been described as an "unbelievable" player by his teammates, could be on the brink of a massive move this summer.
And, if his performance against France is anything to go by, he'll certainly be on his way out of the Red Bull Arena this summer.
As per Sofascore, in the 67 minutes he played, Diomande maintained a pass accuracy of 86 per cent and even made one key pass.
He may have only had 31 touches of the ball but the fact that one of those touches ended up as a key pass proves how well he played.
The winger also completed 100 per cent of his dribbles that he attempted and only lost possession of the ball seven times.
He may have been used on the left-wing on Thursday evening but, throughout the rest of the season, he's also been used on the right which would make him a perfect replacement for Mohamed Salah.
There's a lot of things that need to be ironed out before the summer transfer window is upon us but, if a deal for Diomande isn't on top of Hughes' to-do list, some serious questions will need to be asked.
