The Reds’ work isn’t done yet though, and if Salah is missing for the remainder of their matches it will be a big blow for Slot’s side.

Jeremie Frimpong replaced Salah, and that could be a sign of what’s to come for the final few matches.

Salah has found himself in and out of Slot’s starting XI this season, something he hadn’t really experienced before at Anfield, but he was entrusted to start on the right-wing in a crucial clash against Palace.

The Eagles had beaten Liverpool three times going into the match, and a 3-1 victory will be a result that Salah, Slot and all the Reds in Anfield will be happy with.

The Egyptian’s season isn’t definitely over, and an update on his condition will likely be provided in the coming days, but supporters will be worried that we have seen the last of Salah in Liverpool red.

Regardless of whether Salah can make a comeback before the end of the season, Liverpool host Brentford at Anfield on the final day of the season and will surely give the Egyptian King the send off he deserves after almost a decade of incredible service to the club.
