Michael Edwards might have gotten closer to signing his next Roberto Firmino after a €10m deal was completed.

Arguably, during the first era of Edwards' reign at Anfield, one of his best and most favourite deals was that for the Brazilian star.

Firmino was a data guy's dream. He would record impressive numbers by being a selfless team player and was always underrated during his time at the club.
But he was beloved by Liverpool supporters and will go down as one of the best transfers the club ever made.
Now, Edwards could be looking at another Firmino type deal from the same club he brought the Brazilian from.
Liverpool's Next Firmino transfer
Who would have thought that an attacker from little Hoffenheim would have such a major impact on the Reds?
Firmino came from nowhere, really. He wasn't someone who was a star already when he arrived at Anfield but became one during his time at Liverpool.
Although he always stood out at Hoffenheim as well and was admired by many other clubs.
Now there is another player who will be looking to follow in Firmino's footsteps at the German club and Edwards should be keeping a close eye on him.

Hoffenheim confirmed that they have completed a €10m transfer for the services of Bazoumana Toure.
We wrote about the left-winger and how he has shades of Sadio Mane about him recently having caught the eye in Sweden.
In that piece, we explained how he wasn't quite ready to make the step-up to Anfield yet but that he had the potential to one day be a Liverpool player.
Now he's made the perfect bridge between the Swedish top flight and the Premier League by opting to go to the Bundesliga.
The 18-year-old has the opportunity to continue his development in a fast-paced and physical environment where clubs have the patience to give their younger players opportunities.
It's exactly the kind of environment that you want a talented teenager playing in. Given how fondly Edwards will remember Firmino and those Hoffenheim days, he should now be keeping a close eye on Toure.
And if he continues to perform in the same way he has done so in Sweden then Liverpool should very much be looking to complete their 'next Firmino' transfer in years to come.

You've got that wrong. The season Bobby joined us he was top of the assists in the Bundesligue and 3rd for goals. The season before he came top for assists and 2nd for goals scored or something close to that. So you can't say he wasn't a star. He had also just been capped for Brazil scoring a 30yd screamer on his debut.
