Liverpool FC News: FSG to clinch £194m SCORCHED EARTH signing
Liverpool’s owners FSG are juggling a lot at the moment, with crucial contract and transfer decisions in the works at Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Penguins as well as at Anfield.
FSG’s approach at Liverpool has been to make their money stretch as far as possible. Transfer and contract decisions are made based on data and logic, and the club drives a hard bargain as seen in their approach to contract negotiations with Mohamed Salah.

Red Sox fans haven't been happy with FSG's strategy recently, with parallels between their decision to trade fan-favourite Mookie Betts and the potential departures of Trent, Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Salah.
While they do spend when they feel they need to, the club generally take a safety-first approach to transfers, only forking out when they are very confident in a new player.
Despite this, it looks like they are about to splash the cash with some big moves in the near future.
FSG set to spend MILLIONS
While Richard Hughes is focusing on reaching contract agreements with stars Salah, Trent and Van Dijk - who is expected to announce a new deal soon, as reported exclusively by Anfield Watch - FSG are also in acquisition mode across the Atlantic as MLB free agency is in full swing.
Bleacher Report have said that FSG are set to make a bold statement over the winter period with the signing of free agent Corbin Burnes.
"I think the Red Sox are going to go scorched earth this offseason. They have made it widely known across the industry... that they're not playing around this offseason," MLB expert Tyler Ward said.
"Corbin Burnes, I think, is going to land in the AL East, not with Baltimore, not even with the Yankees, yes, I do have him going to the Boston Red Sox."
Burnes is one of the most sought-after free agents in MLB at the moment, and has been in the top ten of the voting for the Cy Young Award, given to the best pitcher, for the past five consecutive years - he has similar consistency to Salah.
Signing Burnes would be a huge investment for FSG, with a potential contract reportedly set to cost £194m. It's an incredible amount of money to commit to on one player, and makes the lack of a contract offer for Salah all the more infuriating for Liverpool fans.
