Liverpool sensation already training with new club, he's gone
Liverpool may only have a couple of weeks left in the summer transfer window to make the changes that they need to but, it still feels like that's enough time for things to be confirmed.
There are still so many players among the Reds' ranks who have question marks hanging over their futures.
Some, such as Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni have been lucky enough to be handed prominent roles in Andoni Iraola's plans this term.
However, despite a lot of the youngsters proving their worth and showing how good they actually are, some are still waiting to figure out what the future has in store for them.
And now, for one Liverpool sensation, he has finally been handed the answer he's been looking for.
Kieran Morrison is already training with Sheffield Wednesday
As mentioned, several Liverpool youngsters were handed an outside chance of featuring for Liverpool this season.
Some have been given that chance and others are being sent out on loan to hone their craft and try to make their way into the Reds' first-team squad.
There are some senior members of Liverpool's squad that could also be on their way out with Curtis Jones becoming increasingly likely to become an Inter Milan player this summer.
That deal has dragged on for three months and now, it's clear that Richard Hughes just wants to get everything in line so that Liverpool have the best chance to succeed.
This has led to some rather quick developments with an update from Pete O'Rourke now sharing that Liverpool's Kieran Morrison is actually already training with Sheffield Wednesday ahead of his switch.
"Kieran Morrison finalised the move [to Sheffield Wednesday] on Wednesday morning and trained with his new team-mates today," he shared via X.
League One feels like the perfect level for Kieran Morrison at the moment
Morrison's versatility is certainly going to be something that helps him in the future.
Throughout Liverpool's youth ranks, the midfielder has played all across the front three and as a number 10.
In the 2026-27 pre-season, he was given regular playing time by Iraola on the right-wing so that the Spaniard could figure out if he had what it takes to play there for Liverpool.
However, it now seems like Lewis Koumas, Ngumoha and Federico Chiesa could all be sharing that responsibility, as long as none of them leave, of course.
And, while Morrison definitely impressed when used there in pre-season, with Harvey Elliott also looking likely to stick around, there's not really going to be much room for many players to be used there.
So, getting regular gametime with Sheffield Wednesday for an entire season is definitely a better option for him.
Of course, other clubs have shown an interest in him which is what makes him a sensation but, staying in England is probably the right move for him at the moment.
Here's hoping that he can get in on a few goals and prove his worth.
