Liverpool ready to cut their losses and let 'unbelievable' star exit Anfield soon

Andoni Iraola is probably doing a lot worse than he expected to as Liverpool's manager.

Last term, the Spaniard led Bournemouth to their best-ever finish as he only ended up a few points behind the Anfield outfit in sixth place.

However, for one reason or another, he decided his time with the Cherries was up so, this led to Liverpool appointing him as their new boss.

Most fans were excited about this move but now, questions are being asked about whether it was the right one or not.

And, with the January transfer window now not that far away, decisions will need to be made about the futures of some of their squad.

Liverpool are ready to get rid of Federico Chiesa

Federico Chiesa's time at Liverpool is clearly coming to an end.

The Italian has barely played any football for the Reds since he was signed by them a couple of seasons ago and now, it feels like he's just taking up a non-homegrown spot in Liverpool's squad.

Even though he's now fit and ready to play, Iraola has barely played him. That is, despite the short-comings of their attackers this term.

All of these things are pointing towards the end of the line for Chiesa and now, after an update from the Liverpool ECHO, his exit feels almost guaranteed.

"Chiesa’s situation is a little bit more complicated. The Italy international is under contract at Anfield until 2028 and continues to be linked with a return to his homeland," they wrote.

"When Ekitike returns from injury, the forward will fall further down the Liverpool pecking order. A January exit would make sense if a suitable offer materialised."

Federico Chiesa needs to find himself a new team

As much as Liverpool fans want Chiesa to fulfil his potential at Anfield, it's clear that's not going to happen.

The attacker is now 29 years old and has hardly played any football over the last couple of seasons.

Obviously, you don't lose talent like he had overnight but, no matter what the Reds tried to do with him, they never got the best out of him.

That's why, the recent news about a return to Italy has been rife.

If Chiesa can find himself a new home, he could potentially get his career back on track and perhaps even get called back up to Italy's national squad.

Obviously, it's sad that things didn't work out for "unbelievable" attacker in L4 but, now that he's heading towards the final 18 months of his contract, the best time to move him on will be in January, especially if the Reds want to try and earn their money back from his sale.
