Liverpool now ready agree exits for eight players all at once
Liverpool are prepared to sanction eight exits shortly. The Reds are looking to get things done fast.
Liverpool are in the process of shaping their squad for next season. We've already seen quite a lot of movement in that regard, of course, with several exits and the arrival of Victor Munoz.
But the Reds certainly aren't done. One massive job that needs doing, for instance, is sorting out the loan exits for the coming season.
Liverpool have a ridiculous number of young players who need senior football but aren't quite good enough for their first-team. It means plenty of loans are on the way - and the club will want them sorted ASAP.
The Athletic claims that Luke Chambers, Kieran Morrison, Amara Nallo, James McConnell and Armin Pecsi are all going to be loaned out. Or at least, that's the plan.
Then there's Ifeanyi Ndukwe, an 18-year-old centre-back who hasn't actually joined Liverpool yet. He'll formally complete his move next month but the Reds are already planning to loan him out.
Finally, Luca Stephenson looks set to leave permanently after two brilliant seasons on loan with Dundee United. The versatile star has more than earned a proper crack at senior football with a long-term future.
Liverpool will likely include some sort of sell-on clause in any sale for Stephenson.
Then there's Kaide Gordon, who may or may not leave the club this summer. We imagine he will permanently join someone new after a horrible time with injuries at Anfield.
So while eight exits look probable here, it could end up being far more. The likes of Federico Chiesa, Curtis Jones and Trey Nyoni all have uncertain futures, too.
We may ultimately see double-digit departures over the next month or so.
