Liverpool have dominated headlines this summer.

The Anfield outfit have been linked with many different players and, while three of those links turned into actual deals, there's still a lot more work that needs to be done.

However, with all of these new players coming in, some of the Reds' first-team squad will need to be moved on and, with there just being a couple of weeks left in the transfer window, these deals are expected to be completed fairly sharp-ish.

Because, if they don't get done soon, they're unlikely to happen at all which would be far from ideal for all the involved parties.

At the moment, several members of the Reds' squad are being linked with moves away but now, it seems like the Anfield outfit could be about to embark on a transfer battle with one of their Premier League rivals.

Liverpool and Arsenal are set to go to a tribunal for Vincent Joseph's transfer

Vincent Joseph may not be a player that most Liverpool fans have heard of.

The striker is 16 years old and has just agreed terms to join Arsenal from Liverpool.

Last term, the attacker bagged three goals in two games for Liverpool's Under-18's with his performances clearly catching the eye of the North London club.

Talk of the two clubs potentially negotiating a fee for his transfer was mooted but, those talks have clearly failed as now, thanks to a fresh update from Daily Mail journalist Simon Jones, the two rivals are looking likely to go to a tribunal.

"Arsenal and Liverpool are heading to a tribunal after failing to agree compensation for 16-year-old Vincent Joseph," he shared via X.

"The striker decided to leave Liverpool last month after he declined their offer of a scholarship."

Liverpool need to get as much money as possible from Vincent Joseph's exit

Over the summer, a merry-go round of young players moving Premier League clubs was kicked off.

At one point, it felt like Liverpool were going to lose Joshua Abe to Manchester City with a couple of their youngster's also close to packing their bags and exiting.

Obviously, Liverpool have done this to other clubs in the past with Harvey Elliott and Rio Ngumoha.

Both of those deals went to tribunals and resulted in the Reds paying more than they first thought they would.

And, since Joseph performed fairly well last term, it feels like he's going to have bags of potential to fill.

So, when this deal goes to a tribunal, Liverpool need to hope and pray that they get as much out of it as possible.

Because, if not, they may have just lost one of their brightest prospects for barely anything in return.
