Klopp discusses Arsenal v Liverpool postponement

Liverpool host Arsenal this evening as our EFL Cup tie with the Gunners finally gets underway, a week later than originally planned.

The Reds had been due to travel to the Emirates Stadium last Thursday for the first leg of the clash but covid meant the game was postponed.

Indeed, the first leg is now taking place at Anfield, whilst the second match will happen in north London next Thursday.

Jurgen Klopp has had his say on the postponement a little more in his pre-match press conference, meanwhile, with him commenting:

Anfield Watch Verdict

The Reds have had an excellent time in this competition in the past and will be looking to make it a record 9 wins if they can get to Wembley and beat Chelsea.

First, though, they need to deal with a decent Arsenal side over the course of two legs, starting with the home tie at Anfield.

It should be a good game, and we're looking forward to it playing out after last week's cancellation.
