Liverpool have reportedly made a proposal to sign one of Manchester City's brightest talents.

Liverpool are constantly on the hunt for the brightest young talents in English football. Brexit made it incredibly difficult to shop abroad for youth, after all, and that forces everyone to shop locally.

It's something that eventually landed Liverpool some wonderful teenagers. Trey Nyoni is one right on the brink of first-team stardom, while Rio Ngumoha created a storm last season as he broke through at 17.

Now the Reds are trying to find the next one. They feel they've found him, too, in Xavier Parker at Manchester City.

Parker is making waves at youth level and TeamTalk claim that every top English club is hoping to sign him. Liverpool are in that group and have apparently made a proposal to Parker in an attempt to sign him.

The Reds will sell him on the idea of developing with Ngumoha and Nyoni, given he's in that age group. The likes of Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni aren't far off, either.

We'd say that's a very strong sell and arguably better than what other top clubs can offer right now. Not to mention that Liverpool have high hopes for Will Wright coming through, too.

Parker could easily fit into an incredibly exciting group - if Liverpool can get a deal over the line. They've managed it in the past by stealing the likes of Nyoni and Ngumoha from Leeds United and Chelsea respectively.

And Parker may well be the next in line.
