FSG handed golden opportunity to solve Liverpool's main problem
Liverpool have had to deal with a lot of different problems this season.
The Anfield outfit have performed well below their usual standards with some fans even questioning whether the £450 million they spent on new players in the summer was even worth it.
Players such as Alexander Isak and Jeremie Frimpong have failed to perform to the best of their ability which has left the Reds on the backfoot more than once.
Indeed, a transitional phase was expected after the number of transfers that they made but nobody expected Arne Slot's men to still be the second-best team in almost every game they play.
Solutions need to be found for the problems that have cropped up this term and, luckily for Fenway Sports Group, one of them may have already been solved.
Andoni Iraola is set to leave Bournemouth at the end of the season
Slot's role as Liverpool's manager has been one of the biggest topics of conversation to emerge from Anfield over the last few months.
Fans, journalists and even pundits have consistently said that there's not a chance that the Dutchman survives another week.
However, to many people's surprise, he's still leading his men despite their below-par performances.
Several managers have been linked with the Liverpool hot seat such as Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso and Luis Enrique but, after a fresh update from Fabrizio Romano, it's now clearer than ever who FSG should try and get through the Anfield doors.
"Breaking: Andoni Iraola to LEAVE Bournemouth at the end of the season," he wrote.
"Decision made as Iraola wants new chapter in another European club, now open to talks next as The Athletic reported.
"It’s over between Iraola and Bournemouth."
Andoni Iraola could replace Arne Slot at Liverpool
Although there are many managers who could come in and do a solid job with Liverpool, it feels like Andoni Iraola would be the perfect option.
The Spaniard already has plenty of Premier League experience and he even managed to lead the Cherries to 15 Premier League wins last season.
He also managed to get the best out of Milos Kerkez which is something that Slot has struggled to do this term.
Iraola plays entertaining attacking football and ensures that every single player is putting in 100 per cent.
And, the fact that some of Bournemouth's players such as Eli Junior Kroupi and Marcos Senesi are already being linked with an Anfield switch means that the transition could be seamless.
The former Athletic Bilbao player lines his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation which fits perfectly with the players that Liverpool currently have.
Iraola will also be a free-agent so his arrival would be extremely cost-effective for FSG, if they choose to hire him, of course.
At the moment, it feels like the stars are aligning for the Spaniard to make the move but, for now, the Reds' fans will have to wait and see what happens.
