Fabrizio Romano confirms interest in Liverpool sensation, several clubs want him

Liverpool were at the centre of many transfer stories over the summer.

The Anfield outfit brought four new players through the Anfield doors with others such as Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott choosing to exit.

Indeed, a lot of these deals were expected to take place but, now that they have finally been done, it's clear that more changes need to be made.

Admittedly, the Reds look a bit stronger than they did last term thanks to their new arrivals but, there are still a couple of areas among their ranks that could do with an upgrade or two.

However, since Liverpool are notoriously a sell-to-buy club, they may have to make some sacrifices to get these moves over the line.

And, while they'd probably be happy to get rid of some players, there are a few who they'd rather keep hold of for as long as possible.

Rio Ngumoha is wanted by Arsenal and other clubs from around the world

It goes without saying that Rio Ngumoha is Liverpool's brightest prospect at the moment.

Between him and Trey Nyoni, things are fairly close with the duo becoming regular features in Andoni Iraola's plans.

In fact, both teenagers started during Liverpool's 3-1 win against Tottenham on Tuesday evening and were arguably two of the Reds' best performers.

However, since the Reds now have four natural left-wingers among their ranks, they're going to have to do a lot of chopping and changing to make sure every player gets enough time on the pitch.

For some, such as Cody Gakpo who seem to be in some of the best form of their careers, they're obviously untouchable which means that Ngumoha is having to share a starting spot with Victor Munoz, Bradley Barcola and Lewis Koumas.

And, when he's supposed to be Liverpool's brightest prospect, this is obviously far from ideal which is why the latest news to emerge from Fabrizio Romano is easy to understand.

"Obviously, Arsenal always look at opportunities," he shared via his YouTube channel.

"So, if there is a chance to sign Rio Ngumoha in 2027, 2028 or whenever, for sure Arsenal would be among the clubs interested [in signing him].

"And not only Arsenal, I'm sure. Also other clubs from abroad, so, there will be strong interest in Rio Ngumoha."

Liverpool cannot allow Rio Ngumoha to exit Anfield

Liverpool letting Ngumoha leave Anfield over the next 18 months would be a huge mistake.

The 18-year-old is one of the most talked-about youngsters in the world with Thomas Tuchel clearly seeing him as a major part of his plans for England in the future.

Last season, Arne Slot finally gave in and allowed the youngster to feature for the Reds and, at times, he even felt like their best attacker.

These performances mostly came from the left-wing but, since Liverpool now have so many players in that position among their ranks, some such as Ngumoha are being forced onto the right and, from the few games he's played there, it's clear that he isn't all that effective in that position.

Indeed, Gakpo, Munoz and Koumas have all had their turns on the right as well but, for Ngumoha, an 18-year-old with a massive future, he'll want to be used in his favoured position as much as possible.

If Liverpool can't give him this, it really wouldn't be surprising to see him leave in the future and, since he's only locked down until 2028, the Reds would have to sell soon if they want any decent amount of money for him.

Here's hoping that things get ironed out and Ngumoha stays put, otherwise, he will almost certainly be snapped up as soon as he's put on the market.
