European Championship winner fixes Andoni Iraola's biggest Liverpool problem
Andoni Iraola has done fairly well as Liverpool's manager so far.
The Spaniard has only lost two games since being appointed as the Reds' head coach but, they're still only fifth in the Premier League table.
Their performances in the Champions League have been a sight to behold but, there are definitely still some areas among their ranks that could do with an upgrade or two.
Some players among their squad were also expected to do much better than they have done which has caused even more questions to arise.
However, fortunately for Iraola, the answer to his main problem may have just emerged.
Harvey Elliott could be on his way back to Liverpool
Liverpool have lacked creativity this season.
At the start of the campaign, Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo were both in fine form and were creating chances for one another.
However, as we've gotten further into the term, things just haven't continued to work out for either of them and, others such as Florian Wirtz have failed to make a difference.
The German was expected to be the Reds' main source of creativity when he was signed by Liverpool last season but, that has been far from the case.
Despite this, the Reds have never really had any sort of cover for him so, this latest update from Football Insider about the future of Harvey Elliott is certainly intriguing.
"Liverpool intend to sell midfielder Harvey Elliott in January if Valencia terminate his loan spell, sources have told Football Insider," they wrote.
"The La Liga side are searching for a way to bring the loan deal to a premature close, with the 23-year-old still yet to start a game for them.
"There is a growing expectation that he will be sent back to Anfield in January, which sources say would effectively set him back to 'square one.'"
Harvey Elliott could become Liverpool's back-up number 10
Although Football Insider say that Liverpool want to move Elliott on, nobody is going to want to buy him without seeing how good he can be.
Most people expected him to thrive with Valencia but, once again, that's failed to happen.
Carlos Corberan was the main driving force behind the Englishman's transfer and, since he's now been sacked, it's unclear how often Elliott will be used.
The 23-year-old's time in Spain could be coming to an end and, if the Reds are wanting to make some sort of money from his sale, they need to prove his worth.
Bringing him back for the second half of the 2026-27 season would not only give Iraola another option to choose from among his ranks but would also give Wirtz a bit of a break every now and then.
He'd also fit perfectly into the Reds' plans as, right now, the main thing that they need is homegrown players.
Obviously, these are all just theories at the moment but, if Elliott is about to make his return to L4, Liverpool could certainly use him.
