Liverpool have a lot of making up to do next season.

The Anfield outfit have performed well below their usual standards and, if things don't improve next term, some serious questions will need to be asked.

Indeed, nobody knows exactly what Liverpool's transfer plans are this season but, seeing as though Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson are leaving, some new faces will need to arrive.

That is, especially since Hugo Ekitike is also ruled out for an extended period of time.

However, for Arne Slot and Richard Hughes to make these signings, Liverpool will need to sell some of their first-team players.

And, after this latest update, it feels like one of them could already be on their way out.

Juventus have a three-year deal ready and waiting for Alisson if he wants to join them

Alisson is one of the world's best goalkeepers.

However, due to the sheer number of injuries he's suffered this season, Liverpool have had to rely on Giorgi Mamardashvili to be their man between the sticks.

And, while some of his shot-stopping has been impressive, there are many areas of his game that he still needs to work on.

This lack of form has led to Alisson still being the Reds' number one but now, it seems like Juventus could try and prise him away from Anfield.

That is, according to an update from TuttoMercatoWeb who share that the Serie A outfit are now 'focusing heavily' on Alisson.

"After considering Carnesecchi and Restes, Juventus is focusing heavily on Alisson," they wrote.

"The former Roma goalkeeper, now at Liverpool, has become their top target. The Brazilian is open to the idea.

"Work is underway on his salary, which stands at €8 million with the Reds. Juventus is offering a three-year contract at a lower figure compatible with the salary cap."

Liverpool would be stupid to move Alisson on this summer

Given how poorly Mamardashvili has played when called upon, it makes no sense for Liverpool to try and move Alisson on.

The Brazilian is one of the Reds' most experienced players and, without him helping Virgil van Dijk leading the back line, Liverpool would be even worse off.

He's got just over a year left on his current deal after Liverpool triggered their extension clause in his contract and, if he manages to stay fit and put in decent performances, there's no reason why he shouldn't be offered an extra year or two after that.

And, with Salah and Robertson leaving, the Reds will need some older players to help mentor and encourage the younger members of their team.

Even if the two-time Champions League winners offer a decent chunk of change for the 33-year-old, Slot and Hughes must do everything they can to keep him at L4.
