Arne Slot's team is going to massively change this summer.

Several members of his first-team squad are already leaving with most of them being regular starters this term.

Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and now Ibrahima Konate are all set to exit L4 and, since the Reds aren't getting any sort of fees for any of the aforementioned trio, a lot of making up needs to be done.

Of course, the fact that the Anfield outfit are one of the Premier League's biggest clubs will go a long way but, since they're a sell-to-buy club, change is almost certainly on the way.

Several players have been linked with a Liverpool move for a while and now, it finally feels like Richard Hughes could be making Liverpool's first move, or so fans will hope.

Richard Hughes is trying to sign Yan Diomande as quickly as possible

After the bombshell news of Konate not extending his contract recently emerged, it's clear that Slot and Hughes have a massive rebuild on their hands once again.

Most fans thought that the Anfield outfit would be okay after their Β£450 million spend last summer but, their fifth-place finish this season has proven that theory wrong.

And, since one of their main problems was the lack of goals that their attack scored, it's hardly surprising to see one of their main targets being an attacker.

Liverpool have already been linked with several new players ahead of the transfer window but now, an update from Florian Plettenberg has proven how close the Reds are to actually signing RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande.

"Behind the scenes, Liverpool are pushing for a quick agreement with Yan Diomande. 19 y/o gem remains one of their top targets," he wrote.

"Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are closely monitoring the situation and have already held talks. There is still no agreement with any club.

"RB Leipzig still want to extend his contract and improve his salary."

Yan Diomande is exactly what Liverpool need this summer

Although Diomande may have only had two seasons in the Bundesliga, his quality is more than clear.

The 19-year-old attacker has been one of Leipzig's best players this term no matter which position he's played.

Altogether, the winger has scored 13 goals and assisted his teammates 10 times.

The fact that he can play on either wing is also a massive bonus with versatility being one of the most important things a player can have in their locker in this day and age.

And, seeing as though Liverpool's ideal target in Anthony Gordon is looking likely to join Barcelona, moving quickly for Diomande could be in their best interests.

Slot and Hughes obviously have the entirety of the transfer window to figure out their targets but, the sooner they get their business done, the easier it'll be for their new additions to bond and gel with their new teammates.
