Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland wants £500,000 per week, according to ESPN, as cited by Anfield Edition's Twitter account.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the 21-year-old. It has been reported that Haaland will be available for a transfer fee of €75-€90 million (release clause) next summer.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Haaland is an absolute superstar. The striker has scored 70 goals and registered 19 assists in 69 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.

As we have already pointed out, Haaland is only 21 years of age. Therefore, the Norway international could represent Liverpool for at least a decade.

However, we don't see the club paying Haaland £500,000 per week. At this current moment, Virgil van Dijk is reportedly Liverpool's highest paid player (£220,00 per week).

With that being the case, it is hard to imagine a world where Fenway Sports Group pay Haaland £500,000 per week.

But, hopefully we are wrong. We would love to see Liverpool go out and sign Haaland, as he is a generational talent.
