Jurgen Klopp has spoken about facing Real Madrid in the Champions League final, again.

Speaking in his pre-Tottenham press conference, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Klopp spoke about facing Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League.

"When we lost that final in 2018, my favourite solution would have been to play the 2019 final against Real Madrid but we played Tottenham in Madrid. Madrid seems to be our destiny!"

Jurgen also talked about Madrid's journey to the final and what Carlo Ancelotti has achieved with Real this season, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.

"If you knock out PSG, Chelsea and City, you deserve to be in the final," said Klopp. "It will be great. I am happy to go there and give it a try! But between now and then, there are a lot of games to play.

"What Carlo is doing there is incredible. We want to win it, and that is what we will work on between the 22nd and the 28th."

Anfield Watch Verdict

What a game this is going to be. Arguably the two biggest European clubs to ever grace Europe's cup competitions will be going head to head once again.

The last time these two faced off in a Champions League final is a day that many Liverpool fans would like permanently removed from their memory.

Real won 3-1 thanks to some awful goalkeeping from Loris Karius. Thankfully, we now have Alisson in goal and the likelihood of another goalkeeping meltdown is very slim.

Also, Klopp's side have matured so much since that game. That was one of Klopp's early Liverpool teams who were challenging for everything yet they was still relatively inexperienced.

Since then, we have won a Champions League and Premier League whilst also adding to our team and making it even better.

Even Real Madrid fans will tell you they've relied on a bit of luck to reach this year's final. Hopefully they've used up all their luck and the Reds can cruise to their seventh European title.
