Xavi Simons makes case for MASSIVE Liverpool transfer
Xavi Simons just made his case to be a massive transfer for Liverpool. The Reds should push forward on this.
Bayern Munich felt they were going to win the Bundesliga title on Saturday. A win over RB Leipzig was going to seal it and Leroy Sane’s 83rd-minute strike put them 3-2 up.

Deep into injury time, the suspended Harry Kane made his way down to the touchline. He’d received special dispensation to do so - it was chance to celebrate his first league title.
The match then entered the final few seconds of the final minute of injury time. Only, Xavi Simons had the ball near the edge of Bayern’s box.
He dodged one tackle, got his head up, and threaded a perfect through-ball for Yussuf Poulsen. The striker lifted the ball into the net, making it 3-3 and forcing Bayern to wait for their moment.
It was a magnificent finish from Poulsen but the pass for him was exquisite. Simons grabbed his second assist of the game with that one - he’d also provided the goods for Benjamin Sesko’s opener.
The Xavi Simons show, then. And another reason why Liverpool will be tempted to buy the player this summer.

Xavi Simons to Liverpool
Simons is widely expected to leave RB Leipzig this summer. Christian Falk of Bild thinks there may be a release clause - or at least a verbal agreement - to depart.
Empire of the Kop claims an offer is ready to go from Liverpool, too: £51m. The Reds have consistently been linked with Simons since he thrived at PSV Eindhoven.
He’s now looking for a permanent home, basically. Paris Saint-Germain, PSV and Leipzig have all been unable to offer that, either financially or in playing time.
But Liverpool really could. Simons is the kind of attacker who could be a major boost, capable of playing as a no.10 or wide - Arne Slot could even use him as a False 9.
His nine goals and seven assists this season show the kind of output Liverpool would love. They’ve lacked it outside of Mo Salah - consistent output in both scoring and creating.
The Dutch connection offers another reason to push on, of course. Slot has brought the best out of Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo this season. There’s every reason to believe he could do the same with Simons.
Grabbing the 22-year-old for £51m feels like wonderful business. Especially on the back of games like Saturday where Simons was able to put an elite team to the sword.

Liverpool will have been watching and there’s no question they’ll have liked what they saw.
