Brentford to STEAL 'incredible' Trent Alexander-Arnold replacement from Liverpool
Liverpool are rightfully fearful about losing Trent Alexander-Arnold either in January or at the end of the season.
With the Reds declining to enter into talks over a transfer to Real Madrid just before the window opened, it leaves the club vulnerable to the 26-year-old agreeing a pre-contract ahead of a lucrative Bosman deal in summer 2025.

Nonetheless, another bid from the Spanish capital has yet to be ruled out with mixed messages coming from the Bernabeu over whether or not they will try again for Trent this winter. More likely, he will move for free at the end of the season, bringing down the curtain on a glorious Liverpool spell for the homegrown talent.
And if Trent leaves then Liverpool’s decision-makers will need to do their homework on a replacement. Conor Bradley might well feature for the Reds at right-back long term but there remains the chance that sporting director Richard Hughes brings a new right-back to the club.
€17m Kayode on move to Brentford
Players like Vanderson, Amar Dedic and Jeremie Frimpong have all been linked with a potential Anfield arrival if Trent were to leave. Another name on the list was Fiorentina’s Michael Kayode.
The 20-year-old full-back signed for La Viola in 2021, making the step up to the first team in 2023, and has racked up close to 50 appearances since then. An Italian under-21 international, Kayode was praised as “incredible” for the marking job he did on Liverpool target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia back in October 2023.
“[Kayode] is really strong,” Pino Vitale, an experienced Italian agent, told Radio Firenze Viola. “Incredible. He forced Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to chase him.”
Back in October, the Reds were named as suitors for Kayode by CaughtOffside and now the same outlet has provided an update. It reports that Brentford have stolen a march on other contenders for Kayode’s signature, entering into talks with Fiorentina over a potential €17 million deal.
Kayode was absent from the squad which played Torino last weekend with the Bees progressing discussions over acquiring his services in January. If this deal goes through then the Reds will have to look elsewhere for a potential Trent replacement.
