Milos Kerkez to Liverpool takes HUGE step forward after latest Fabrizio Romano info
Liverpool have secured their Premier League title but Richard Hughes and Arne Slot are not standing still. The sporting director and head coach are plotting to overhaul the Reds’ squad with significant incomings and outgoings now expected.
Once the transfer window opens we can expect the likes of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota to leave - should sufficient bids be made - while there is uncertainty over others such as Luis Diaz, Federico Chiesa, Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah.

It’s clear that Hughes and Slot plan to ship out several title-winning stars - in order to make room in the budget for new signings as well as add to the summer transfer kitty. And one area long identified as a priority for improvement is left-back.

Andy Robertson has been a solid campaigner for the Reds but at 31 and with a contract expiring in summer 2026 the Scot doesn’t appear to have long left in his Liverpool career.
Liverpool have Kerkez in their sights
Deputy Kostas Tsimikas, meanwhile, has rarely threatened Robbo with a takeover and will be SOLD this summer if a new left-back is to come into the club.
The chief contender for an Anfield arrival is Milos Kerkez. The Bournemouth left-back was signed by Richard Hughes when he was technical director for the Cherries back in August 2023.
And he has been tipped to repeat the trick for the 21-year-old, who could be made available in the upcoming transfer window for ÂŁ45m.
Kerkez, however, is not the only contender at left-back linked with Liverpool. There is also Antonee Robinson of Fulham - as well as Rayan Ait-Nouri of Wolves.
But Liverpool’s chances of acquiring Kerkez have taken a step forward - based on the latest information released by Fabrizio Romano.
Man City ask for info on Ait-Nouri
“Understand Manchester City have asked for deal conditions for Rayan Aït-Nouri at Wolves,” Romano writes on X. “He’s high on the list for left back position with contacts expected to continue.”
The Italian transfer supremo claims that Manchester City are now competing to sign Ait-Nouri - and that means Kerkez to Liverpool is closer for a couple of reasons.
Man City move on from Kerkez
One, the Hungarian was previously linked to Man City. If Pep Guardiola sees fit to move on from a transfer target - like he did with Florian Wirtz - it’s a reliable indicator that a deal is impossible.
Secondly, given Liverpool’s links to Ait-Nouri, seeing him end up at City probably means the Reds are not perturbed about losing out on the Algerian.

Why? Because Kerkez is in the bag.
There is little doubt that Ait-Nouri is a capable performer - able to play at left-back, wing-back and even as a third centre-back but it looks like Kerkez fits the bill better for what Slot and Hughes are looking for.
