Liverpool want deal for £80m wonderkid forward
Liverpool’s attack is due another shakeup.
Last summer the Anfield side completed big-money deals in their strike line. We saw British record transfer for both Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak - while Hugo Ekitike arrived in a £69m deal from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Those deals have not quite worked out as yet - with Ekitike now set for around a year on the sidelines owing to an achilles injury and Wirtz as well as Isak still finding their form.
Richard Hughes is making space in the squad for new arrivals - with Mohamed Salah leaving and Federico Chiesa destined to follow the Egyptian King out the door.
Factor in the injury suffered by Ekitike - and Isak’s notorious lack of reliability due to fitness issues - and you can see why the club need to restock their forwards.
Liverpool want Kroupi
One candidate tipped to arrive is Eli Junior Kroupi. The 19-year-old is coming off the back of a sensational season for Bournemouth in the Premier League - scoring 13 goals.
His talents won’t be contained for long on the south coast - despite signing a contract until 2030 when he arrived from Lorient in 2025.
According to Ekrem Konur the young Frenchman’s form has alerted all the big clubs around the English top flight as well as Europe.
Bournemouth are adamant about Kroupi sticking around for now and have slapped an £80m price tag on his head to ward off suitors.

But that is unlikely to stop interest materialising from Europe’s elites - with several top teams in the frame to sign the French under-21 international.
“Eli Junior Kroupi attracting Europe’s elite after Bournemouth breakthrough,” his report on X reads.
“Interest → Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid; also Atalanta, Man City, Bayern.
“Situation → Bournemouth determined to keep him; base valuation £80M.”
Kroupi capable of scoring against top teams
Kroupi has formed part of an exciting-looking attack for the Cherries under Andoni Iraola - either as a centre-forward or just behind in the No10 position.
He has scored several outstanding goals over the course of the last season - netting goals against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.
