Darwin Nunez could give Liverpool MASSIVE Kevin De Bruyne boost
This summer is set to be one of the biggest in Liverpool’s history.
The Reds are Premier League champions, a boast a very healthy financial position that could enable them to spend like never before.

On top of the already favourable position Arne Slot’s side find themselves in, a number of high-profile exits are expected that could further boost the Reds’ transfer kitty.
One of the biggest moves Liverpool have been linked with wouldn’t even require a transfer fee, however.
Manchester City icon Kevin De Bruyne will become a free agent at the end of June, and some reports have suggested a move to Anfield could be on the cards.
Now, another twist involving Darwin Nunez may have moved the Reds one step closer to De Bruyne’s signature.
Napoli want Darwin Nunez
Nunez looks almost certain to leave Anfield this summer, a number of teams are interested and it is football’s worst kept secret that Liverpool are looking to sign another striker.
A new report from Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has revealed that Napoli are one of the teams in the hunt for Nunez this summer.

Pedulla claims that the Reds will demand up to €55 million for the Uruguayan, a fee that would make Nunez Gli Azzurri’s second most expensive signing ever behind Victor Osimhen.
This fee would still represent a loss on the €85m Liverpool paid Benfica for Nunez’s services, and also a loss on the roughly £70m bid that was rejected from Saudi Arabia in January.
How does Nunez to Napoli help De Bruyne to Liverpool?
Nunez currently earns a reported £140,000 per week and he will likely demand similar, if not more, from any side interested this summer.
De Bruyne is also likely to demand a huge wage when he moves on a free transfer in a few months and this could pose a problem for Napoli, who are reportedly keen on signing the Belgian international.
Nunez’s high wage demands combined with his near record transfer fee for Napoli would make it very difficult for the Italian giants to offer De Bruyne the wage he desires too.
It may be a case of one or the other for Napoli this summer and, if Nunez does end up moving to Naples, Liverpool would get a much easier run at six-time Premier League champion De Bruyne.
Despite some reports claiming Liverpool had already made an offer to De Bruyne, multiple journalists including Fabrizio Romano have now claimed the Reds' interest isn't as advanced as initial reports claimed.

There are many moving pieces in the transfer market, but Liverpool offloading Darwin Nunez to Napoli over another competing team could make it much easier for them to secure the services of Kevin De Bruyne.
