Liverpool have the NEXT Thiago
Liverpool already have their new Thiago Alcantara.
One of the best players to ever play for the Reds in terms of technical ability was the Spaniard midfielder. At his very best, Thiago was impervious in defence and absolutely mesmerising in possession.

He was one of those players you could just watch over and over again. When the ball got to his feet, you knew he was always capable of doing something special - making the difference and finding the an opening when there was none seemingly available.
Unfortunately, the problem with Thiago was that these moments were very brief. He was so rarely available, his body seemingly way too fragile.
Thiago spent most of his time in the treatment room, meaning Liverpool never fully saw him being able to dominate Premier League defences on a regular basis.
But his influence has remained, and there is an exciting young midfielder at Liverpool who could be the club's next Thiago.

Tyler Morton is a player who massively benefitted from being around Thiago in the first team from a young age. You can see the resemblance in the way that he plays.
Always assured on the ball, Morton has a brilliant first touch and he's very much capable of making a difference from midfield. He showed that at the U21 European Championship final against Germany.
Morton was brought on at half-time and played a blinder against Germany, constantly looking to instigate attacks for England. In the end, it was the Liverpool midfielder who made the difference as well.
With the game tied 2-2 in extra time, Morton received the ball and delivered a simply beautiful cross that was pretty much perfectly angled towards Jonathan Rowe, who duly put his head on it and thumped it into the back of the net.
That goal was enough for England to win the game and for Morton to become a European Champion.
From the first touch to the weight of the cross, everything was very Thiago esque in Morton's delivery. At 22-years-old, it doesn't feel like Morton has that much of a future left at Anfield.
However, he deserves at least one final chance in pre-season. There is an opening in the holding midfield department. Liverpool need cover for Ryan Gravenberch and it doesn't look like they are going to find that cover in the transfer market.
Wataru Endo could be an option but Slot didn't trust him that much, only towards the end of the season. It's clear the Japanese midfielder doesn't have the technical qualities that Morton has.
Stefan Bajcetic could be another option but he's injured at the moment and unlikely to be fit for pre-season.
In Morton there is a player who has a lot of shades of Thiago, and if given a chance he could become the Reds' next Thiago.

The Euro U21 final proved he should get one more chance at least to catch the eye in the first team.
