Liverpool have reportedly made contact with the agent of a Torino defender

Liverpool are interested in Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer, according to Radio Itatiaia, as cited by Anfield Edition's Twitter account.

It has been reported that the Reds have made contact with the Brazilian's representatives. Bremer's contract expires in the summer of 2023.

The defender is reportedly valued at £13 million.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

We would not be against Liverpool signing Bremer, as he is a good footballer. The centre-back averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.86 across the 2020-21 Serie A campaign.

Footage of Bremer highlights that he is a solid tackler and passer.

Also, the Brazilian is only 24 years of age. Bremer could potentially represent Liverpool for a number of years.

If Liverpool do sign the defender, he would be training alongside some top centre-backs (Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip).

Therefore, it would be fair to assume that Bremer's game will only improve over time. But, only time will tell if Liverpool are to sign the 24-year-old.
