Liverpool fans vote for chosen defender for Brighton game

In a poll posted by Anfield Watch on Twitter, Liverpool fans have been voting for who they believe should start at centre-back against Brighton & Hove Albion. Fans had the option of Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip, and Joe Gomez, as to who should start next to Virgil van Dijk. Winning by an incredible margin, with 67% of the votes, was Konate.

After last week’s as the Reds won 5-0 at Old Trafford, many Liverpool fans are keen to see Konate in action once more in what could really be the start of his career on Merseyside.

If last week is anything to go by, we can expect a dominant performance from Konate if he starts against Brighton, and one which once again highlights just how good the former RB Leipzig man is. Next to Van Dijk, too, Konate can form a dream partnership whilst learning from the best in the business.
