Liverpool are reportedly one of three clubs capable of signing a 21-year-old forward
Liverpool are one of three clubs capable of signing Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland, according to Tuttosport, as cited by The Anfield Buzz's Twitter account.
The other two sides have not been named by The Anfield Buzz. Sunday World has previously linked Liverpool with a move for Haaland.
The 21-year-old's contract expires in the summer of 2024.
Haaland does possess a current market value of €150 million. However, according to Sport1, as cited by Tribuna, the Norway international will be available for around €90 million (release clause) come 2022.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Haaland would be a good signing for Liverpool. The striker was the leading goalscorer (10 goals) in the UEFA Champions League last season, which highlights just how talented he is.
Also, as we have already pointed out, Haaland is only 21 years of age. Therefore, the Norway international could potentially represent the Reds for around a decade.
But, Tuttosport's report does highlight that Liverpool (providing they are genuinely interested) could have some competition for Haaland's signature.Only time will tell if the Reds are to land the prestigious talent from Norway.
