€60m is on the table for Liverpool star, he should take it
Liverpool have already changed a lot of things and the 2025-26 season isn't even over yet.
Andoni Iraola is now in charge instead of Arne Slot and several members of their first-team squad have already packed their bags and exited Anfield.
Of course, the World Cup is still going on so it's unlikely that many transfers will be sanctioned before it ends but, that doesn't mean rumours can't start to emerge.
Victor Munoz's Liverpool switch has obviously been confirmed already and, since so many players have left L4, plenty are still expected to come in.
And, for one of Liverpool's players, there's now a €60 million contract waiting for him.
Al-Hilal are ready to offer Mohamed Salah €60 million to join them
The termination of Mohamed Salah's contract was certainly one of the most unexpected things to emerge from the 2025-26 season.
The Egyptian King's form dropped off massively with Slot choosing to leave him side-lined for many of Liverpool's games.
This led to a massive falling out between the two of them and more or less sealed Salah's fate.
Since then, the rumour mill has been going into overdrive with fans and journalists both trying to figure out who his next club will be.
At the moment, the Turkish Super Lig and the Saudi Pro League seem to be the most likely destinations for the attacker with a new update from ESPN Brazil journalist Bruno Andrade sharing that Al-Hilal now have a €60 million deal waiting for him.
"On Fala a Fonte, Bruno Andrade brought the information that Al Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, will sign a striker and has Mohamed Salah, recently departed from Liverpool, as the main target," Sports Center Brasil shared via X.
"When mentioning that the Saudi team has 60 million euros to offer in salary in the format 20 + 20 + 20, our reporter almost let slip a 67."
Mohamed Salah deserves a huge payday for his final transfer
Now that Salah is 33 years old, the next club that he joins is likely to be his last.
As mentioned, his performances for Liverpool were rather lacklustre last term but, during the 2024-25 campaign, he contributed to over 50 goals and was easily the Reds' best player.
However, Slot's change of tactics ruined the way that the Egypt international plays which eventually killed his output.
Despite this, Salah won't have lost his magic touch over night but, since no top-level will be willing to meet his current wages, his options are going to be limited to clubs who have an endless amount of money at their disposal.
Fenerbahce and Al-Hilal seem like Salah's most likely destinations at the moment and, while the quality of the teams will drop, the fact that he's going to get a huge payday will probably ease that blow.
The attacker has worked his way up to the pinnacle of football and, now that he's in the twilight stages of his career, the least he deserves is a huge pay day to set his kids and their kids up for life.
