Audio of Argentinian commentator celebrating Alexis Mac Allister goal surfaces
Well, that's certainly one way to score your first Liverpool goal.
If you haven't yet witnessed Alexis Mac Allister's long-range pile-driver during the Reds' 4-3 victory over Fulham, stop what you're doing and watch it. Right now.
The Argentine thumped a 27-yard screamer past Bernd Leno to score Liverpool's second goal of an eventful afternoon on Sunday, sending Anfield into pandemonium.
Mac Allister's debut goal in a red shirt was something to behold and it was certainly matched by the reaction of one Argentinian commentator covering the game.
A clip of the commentator reporting on Mac Allister's goal has emerged online and it's fair to say he was quite impressed by the 24-year-old's venomous strike.
Speaking live, he enthused (via Liverpool Echo): "There is Mac Allister... what a goal! Applaud, applaud! Goal from Mac Allister! That's how a world champion scores.
"Mac Allister appears, giving Liverpool the advantage. What a bomb hit from the Argentine! Liverpool 2-1 Fulham. Close everything, turn the lights off, go to the ticket office and you'll have your money back. This is extraordinary. End the game!"
His sentiments will have been shared by every Liverpool supporter watching the game, while Mac Allister was pleased with the effort himself after the match.
Speaking after the game, he admitted it was the best goal he had ever scored.
"I had a nice one against Leicester [for Brighton] but it was disallowed," said the midfielder. "So I think it was the best goal I scored in my life.
"Not a bad start to my career then in Liverpool as a goalscorer."
He added: "As soon as I hit it, I knew that it was going to be a goal. [It was a] very nice goal, but as I always say, when I play as a No.6 I am not very worried about goals and assists [because] I have other work to do - but it's always nice to score!"
Hopefully, it will be the first of many for Liverpool's No. 10!
