Fantastic star asked straight about potential Liverpool move

Liverpool have been linked with one of the brightest prospects in Europe. Now he's been asked about a move.

Victor Froholdt has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer after a fantastic debut campaign at FC Porto. The midfielder only moved there in 2025 but he's been a key player as they've won Liga Portugal.

And as with all star performers in Portugal, that means a big-money move could be on the cards. Froholdt is only 20, after all - it feels as though he could rapidly become one of the best around in the right environment.

But when could that move happen? Froholdt has been asked in an interview with A Bola about moving to Liverpool or Arsenal in the summer - the two clubs most linked with a move for him.

It sounds, however, as though the midfielder has no real intention of pushing for a transfer right now. He's set to remain with Porto for at least one more year.

“I am happy to see people following me and to know the fans appreciate my work,” he said. “I focus on the feedback I receive from the coaches, from the team and on the things I can do on the pitch.”

“Now I keep everything else away from where I am, because I am here playing for FC Porto and I am not focused on anything else."

Froholdt, whose release clause stands at around €85m, would almost certainly move if a club paid enough money this summer. But it doesn't appear he'll be one pushing for a move.

If Liverpool are to end up with him, it might take a long wait.
