Sadio Mane needed a strong start to the season, he’d likely be the first to admit, and he’s had just that, scoring six goals in 10 games, including a landmark strike against Watford. The winger’s first-time finish to give the Reds the lead was his 100th Premier League goal.
It was a simple strike, but one that means so much. With the goal, Mane is just the third player to score 100 goals or more in the Premier League with zero penalties, and just the third African player to reach the century mark in the Premier League. Now that the landmark has been reached, Mane will likely kick on even further and reach further impressive milestones in a Liverpool shirt.
