Wow, meet Liverpool's very own incredible Harry Kane
Liverpool have their very own Harry Kane, and he's incredible.
It was an evening the England international will never forget. At the heart of his home city in London, Kane collected his first ever Ballon d'Or trophy.
His crowning moment in the world of football was one that was well-deserved. For the last year, Kane has been in impeccable form for club and country.
He led Bayern Munich to unprecedented heights and performed extremely well at the World Cup to lead the Three Lions once again very close to winning it all.
As a young forward, Kane is the epitome of what you aspire towards. He is the perfect modern day striker. Someone who can do it all, and score so many goals people lose count.
Liverpool's exciting generation of forwards
There was a time when Kane was briefly linked with a move to Anfield. For years while he was at Tottenham, Premier League clubs made tentative attempts to prise him away from the London-based club's grasp.
But Kane stayed loyal largely until the very end. Given his age and the fact that he plays for a European rival, it now feels very unlikely that Liverpool would ever be interested in Kane again.
Especially since there really isn't a need for a new forward at Anfield. Alexander Isak was signed for a Premier League transfer record at the time when he arrived at the club last summer. He is now banging in goals left, right and centre.
And Hugo Ekitike is making good progress in his recovery. Hopefully, by the start of the new year, he will be in top form and scoring goals for fun again.
Liverpool's very own Harry Kane is Will Wright
Lewis Koumas has caught the eye with some of his cameos recently. He is a well-liked figure in the club and his relentless energy is perfect for the way Andoni Iraola wants to play.
Behind Koumas, there's also an exciting young forward in the club's academy.
Will Wright was signed last year on the back of scoring over 50 goals at academy level for Salford City.
Now, this season, the 18-year-old has exploded onto the scene, scoring 10 goals in 11 games and registering two assists. In just 29 games for the Reds at U19 and U21 level, Wright has 16 goals and seven assists - an excellent track-record.
Tall but technically sublime, Wright plays very similarly to Kane, and he's got the ability to score from any angle as well. He's also got the potential to reach a very high level, which is why the Reds might just have their very own version of the 2026 Ballon d'Or winner.
