The next BEST player in the world will join Liverpool
The next best player looks destined to join Liverpool.
At the moment, we are at the end of an era. The dynasty is over. For almost two decades, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo held hegemony over the footballing world.
But that has changed. The powers are shifting and we are embarking on uncharted terrains.
Just who will be the next best player in the world is a mystery to solve. Right now, Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal are making a good case.
Mo Salah is not far away and he was in our opinion the best player in the world last year, and should have won the Ballon d'Or.
The question though is not who will win the next few Ballon d'Ors but rather who will dominate in the same way as Ronaldo or Messi did, and the answer may lie in a surprise destination.
We're talking about Gilberto Mora from Mexico. It's our understanding that Liverpool scouts have been keeping a close eye on him for a while.
As Rousing the Kop reported, the Reds are watching Mora at the U20 World Cup right now, where he's the second youngest player at the tournament.
Liverpool are not the only team keeping an eye on him. Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain are also interested in his services.
But there is one factor which makes it inevitable that he will end-up at Anfield.
First though, let's look at his talent and why Mora will become one of the best in the world if he fulfils his potential.
Right now he's only 16-years-old, but already he's competing at the U20 World Cup. He's expected to compete at the U17 World Cup in November and he's a senior international for Mexico, too, which means he could play at the senior World Cup next summer.
Despite being so young, Mora has been the best player of the tournament at the U20 competition. He's scored three times and registered two assists in five matches, and was his side's best player in every single game.
That's a remarkable achievement for a player so young and playing against players so much older than him.
Mora is small, but he's strong, and he reads the game faster than his opponens. He knows how to find space and pick-up the right positions time and time again.
Overall, he's got the makings of a player who could one day dominate everyone else and win major trophies and individual accolades at the highest level.
So why will Liverpool get him? The answer is obvious. Mora's other suitors cannot offer him the most important thing that Liverpool can - playing time.
At PSG, the competition is already fierce in Mora's attacking midfield role. He's got to oust Desire Doue, Vitinha, Senny Mayulu and Fabian Ruiz.
Real Madrid have Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler and Franco Mastantuono.
Manchester United's best player is Bruno Fernandes, who plays in that position, and right now a young player would be silly to join the Red Devils.
Liverpool on the other hand with Harvey Elliott's imminent departure on a permanent basis to Aston Villa have just Florian Wirtz. The Reds are the only club Mora could join where he would immediately be granted playing time.
Which is why his destiny is Anfield.
