Liverpool’s squad has changed significantly since the club won the Premier League last season.

Although initially there were very few changes to the squad Arne Slot inherited from Jurgen Klopp, last summer saw widespread change.

Several first-team regulars left Anfield and some truly worldclass talent was added to the team.

The evolution of Slot’s squad is set to continue when Jeremy Jacquet arrives in the summer, and there are sure to be some more departures too.

Who leaves the club will likely depend on who Liverpool bring in, and a recent transfer rumour could open the door for a massive sale.

Liverpool scout forward with ‘perfect’ trait

Mohamed Salah's future at Anfield is less certain than ever, with interest from the Saudi Pro League lingering and a public fallout between the Egyptian King and the club sparking rumours of an exit this summer.

After a spell out of the starting XI before Christmas, Salah is now back in the team, but talk of an imminent departure rumbles on.

Liverpool have begun to assess potential Salah replacements ahead of the summer, with several players from across Europe’s top leagues linked, but they make look further afield to replace their talisman.

According to a report from SportsBoom, Liverpool are monitoring Palmeiras wonderkid Allan and have sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old Brazilian in action.

“Liverpool scouts have given a "perfect" rating to Allan’s ability to circulate the ball under high pressure,” the report reads.

Allan’s footballing IQ is described as far beyond his years, and his performances in South America have attracted the interest of multiple European and MLS clubs.

Although the forward reportedly has a €100 million (~£87m) release clause, bids are expected to start at around €30 million (~£26m) in the summer.

If Allan is truly rated as highly by Liverpool’s scouts as the report suggests then a £26 million deal would be a bargain, and the door could open for Salah's exit with his replacement already found.
