Liverpool have a chance to get a major deal over the line, per new reports. There aren't any excuses here.

Liverpool head into the summer knowing they need another major transfer if they're to fix their attack. That was likely the case anyway but losing Mohamed Salah forces the club into action.

The Reds lack involvement from their wings, to sum it up. That necessitates a new winger and Anfield Watch understands that Liverpool have long saw Bradley Barcola as a true market opportunity.

Well, now things are moving along in that direction. Le10Sport reported at the weekend that Liverpool are pushing harder than ever for the player, while Barcola himself is in favour of the move.

This, then, creates an incredible opportunity. It's thought that Barcola will be available as Paris Saint-Germain want to reshape their attacking options slightly - they, along with Liverpool, have been linked with Yan Diomande, for instance.

Thus there will be movement in the elite winger market this summer and it leaves the Reds without excuses. They need to invest on their flanks, be it Barcola or Diomande or another top target.

Barcola being available kicks things off and gives Liverpool at least one elite target that they can sign. So it's time to get it done.

Bradley Barcola: Situation Summary

PSG Performance and Stats

As of 12 May 2026, Bradley Barcola remains a standout performer for Paris Saint-Germain, despite a recent ankle injury. The 23-year-old winger has recorded 10 goals and one assist in 27 Ligue 1 matches this season, maintaining an impressive average FotMob rating of 7.39. Most recently, he played 69 minutes in a 1–0 win over Brest on 10 May, showing no lingering effects from the injury that sidelined him in March. Barcola has also been a key figure in PSG's Champions League campaign, recently appearing in both semi-final legs against Bayern Munich as the club prepares for the final against Arsenal on 30 May.

Transfer Speculation

Speculation regarding Barcola’s future has intensified, with reports from 11 May indicating he is "increasingly receptive" to a move to Liverpool. The Frenchman is allegedly viewed as a primary candidate to replace the departing Mohamed Salah. Arsenal and Barcelona also remain credited with strong interest in the €73.6 million-rated attacker.

International Standing

Barcola is considered the frontrunner to start on France's left wing for the 2026 World Cup this June, having firmly established himself in Didier Deschamps’ tactical plans.
