One academy graduate at right-back could be leaving Liverpool this summer but another could soon be on his way.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's time at Anfield seems to be coming to a close. He's been at the club through thick and thin and he's given his all whenever he has put on the shirt.

The 26-year-old is also a generational player. The kind of young talent that doesn't come to the surface very often.

In the last couple of decades, maybe only Steven Gerrard can rival Alexander-Arnold's legacy from the club's academy.

So, losing him is going to be horrible. But with Alexander-Arnold now entering the last two months of his deal and there still not being an agreement for a new contract, it seems inevitable.

Real Madrid's cajoling advances have unfortunately become too difficult even for one of Liverpool's very own to resist.

Lenix Conde is coming

The Alexander-Arnold void is going to be difficult to fill. But fortunately, Liverpool have Conor Bradley and he's someone who can definitely step into being a first choice option for Arne Slot's side.

In the academy there are a number of exciting options coming through the ranks as well. Among them we've recently written about DJ Esdaille, who looks like a right-back to keep an eye on for the Reds.

He's not the only one though. Liverpool have an even more exciting new talent in Lenix Conde. The 17-year-old currently plays for Liverpool's U16 side.

Conde also recently signed to a new agency, and he's been at the club since U9 level.

At the start of the season he was recovering from an ACL injury but he's slowly been coming back and recently he caught the eye against Everton's U16 team, going forward making some nice dribbles and also some important challenges at the back which he posted on his Instagram story.

Conde has been likened to Trent Alexander-Arnold, he's been dubbed as the next Alexander-Arnold in fact, which is a massive weight on his shoulders.

The truth is, it's still far too early to predict what kind of player he will become. But he's a special talent, there's no two ways about it.

Conde has been dominating at academy level and he's got the ability to be able to make decisive actions even from full-back.

He's quick, very technical and can hold himself up in one vs one challenges as well. His one vs one ability both offensively and defensively is very exciting.

He can spray passes from deep as well, drop into the middle and play through balls but he can also overlap when needed.

In terms of his skillset and versatility, he has everything to become an elite modern day full-back and we are going to be seeing a lot more of him soon.

That's because next season Conde is coming to link up with Liverpool's U18 team and becoming a first year scholar at the club.

He's in the same generation as Rio Ngumoha and Lamore Forrester, who are both regarded as exciting young talents.

Others to keep an eye from the club's U16 team are Erik Farkas and Josh Abe, both of whom we have written about recently.

You can read our profile on Farkas here and Abe here.

After a disappointing season at U18 level, there is a real promise and excitement about the next generation coming through. Conde is one of those players who are coming and you need to keep a close eye on him.

If he continues to develop, he could become a special talent.
