Liverpool Transfer News: France superstar is begging Richard Hughes to sign him
Liverpool's summer transfer business was extraordinary and Arne Slot's squad is now primed to compete for the Premier League title once again this season as they attempt to retain their crown.
Three wins have been secured from the opening trio of games and while the performances might not have been quite as convincing as most would have liked, the Reds got across the line nonetheless.

September's international break gives the club a chance to breathe for a second and take stock of where we're at, but the efforts of the recruitment team behind the scenes will continue to rumble on.
After all, January isn't that far away and plans to sign long-term targets don't just happen overnight.

In last night's international fixtures in particular, one player's performance in particular was noteworthy for a whole host of reasons, not least because he's an ideal Mohamed Salah replacement.
Michael Olise is on Liverpool's radar
Earlier this week, the Daily Mail's Lewis Steele attempted to consider how Liverpool might approach the 2026 summer transfer window and one target in particular was Bayern Munich's French winger.
Olise is only 23 years old, despite the fact that he's now into his second season in Germany, after a three-season spell for Crystal Palace, playing regular Premier League football. It certainly feels as though he's been around a lot longer than his age suggests. He has a vast amount of experience.
All of his class and expertise was on show in France's 2-0 win over Ukraine on Friday night as he got on the scoresheet and delivered a highly accomplished performance.
In 89 minutes, he created three chances - one of which was a big chance - as well as one accurate long ball, one successful dribble, won five duels and four tackles. It was an all-round masterclass.
Of course, the slight caveat is that he played in an attacking midfield role, since Paris Saint Germain's Desire Doue was preferred at right-wing, but Olise is a more than capable winger.
The right-hand side is his primary position at Bayern and performances like the one he delivered for France are exactly why he's on Liverpool's radar. His ability and his age profile make him a more than ideal candidate to eventually replace Salah when the Egyptian's contract expires in 2027.
Securing him won't be considered until next summer and plying him away from the German giants is not going to be easy, since he's well admired and has four years left to serve on his current deal.
In addition, a talented 23-year-old playing at his level won't come cheap either, so Liverpool would have to come close to breaking the bank once again, but the Reds will be well aware of his value.
So while Olise's performance isn't connected to a potential move anytime soon, he's only going to create more buzz around his future if he continues to excel and Liverpool will have taken notice of it.
