Liverpool slap £40m price tag on wantaway title winner
Liverpool have been tipped to conduct a summer clear out in the upcoming transfer window. Head coach Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes are not standing still despite the Merseysiders claiming the Premier League title.
It’s widely expected that certain squad members will leave if the right bids are made. We could see widespread changes up front - with Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez among those being considered for exits.

There is uncertainty too over wingers Federico Chiesa and Luis Diaz, while Tyler Morton and Wataru Endo could disappear from midfield along with Harvey Elliott.

Defenders Jarell Quansah, Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas could also make way as plans take shape for a summer transfer refit. There will be BIG changes in the goalkeeping department too with Giorgi Mamardashvili due to arrive once his loan at Valencia ends.
The Georgia international expects to be No1 and is set for a showdown with Alisson Becker over the starting position. The alterations mean that current second-choice Caoimhin Kelleher is overwhelmingly likely to leave.
Kelleher set to be SOLD
The 26-year-old has been a capable deputy for Alisson, earning a Premier League medal this season, but has aspirations to become a No1 in his own right.
Last summer brought transfer links to Nottingham Forest among other teams but no team was prepared to meet Liverpool’s asking price. With only one year left on his contract, Liverpool will look to cash in this summer instead of losing him for free in 2026.
Liverpool want £40m for Kelleher
Newcastle are the latest team in the frame for the Irishman’s signature and he’s made it clear to suitors that he will only consider a move to a team which offers him a No1 spot.
That’s according to the latest report in the Chronicle, which also claims that Liverpool are going to ask for £40m for Kelleher.
Given their asking price was reported to be £25m to £30m last summer, it represents a sizeable increase and reflects Kelleher’s increased prominence this season.
