Liverpool Transfer News: Outside interest in Darwin Nunez intensifies
Liverpool's main sale of the transfer window needs to be Darwin Nunez.
His time at the club appears to be over and in order for a new striker to be signed, the Uruguayan needs to pack his bags, securing the Reds a transfer for us to use to purchase his successor.

Hopes of Napoli taking him off our hands were dashed when they couldn't meet the club's valuation of him. After all, we have to recoup as much money as possible after the £85m we paid for him.
As such, the ideal potential move for Liverpool is if a Saudi club approaches him, because the country's Public Investment Fund could put up a transfer fee which better reflects his value.
But the situation is complex since he will need to agree personal terms and he prefers to stay in Europe, since he is still just 26 years old. The latest report claims we still have options to consider.
Nunez is wanted in Europe and in the Middle East
According to Caught Offside, there are four clubs that are currently expressing interest in Nunez.
The 'strongest interest' is from Al Hilal and Al Nassr, with Barcelona and AC Milan also looking at him.

In their report, they claim: "LFC still look likely to part ways with Nunez as long as the money is right.
"It remains to be seen if Barca or Milan can afford the player, however, with neither club making formal approaches just yet. It will be interesting to see how this develops, but Said clubs probably seem the most likely to be able to meet Liverpool's demands, though it's not yet clear if Nunez himself wold go there, or favour a move to another European club."
As such, we remain in a state of flux because Liverpool and Nunez's interests need to both be met.
Of course, the Reds might consider lowering their price slightly if it was the only way for a deal to be agreed, but the approaches that have been offered so far have been almost felt a little bit insulting.
Despite the striker failing to make the most of his time on Merseyside, we are still talking about a player that has made a goal contribution ever 120 minutes he's played, which is actually remarkable.
His goalscoring should have been better than it is, since he's missed 83 big chances across the three seasons he's spent with us, but he has shown at Benfica that he can be a prolific scorer at times, son a new environment might just be what he needs to return to his former self.
As such, an approach for him has to be reaching around £60m - the potential he still has is enormous.

Whether that price is met, we'll have to see. A move might not come to fruition, which is a possibility that some fans are considering as being a positive, given the Reds' current striker situation, but with four clubs lurking around him, it would be a surprise is he was still here when the window closes.

Nuneaton is an Enigma he could be a player that just blows up something tells me if he leaves it'll be a loss he wasn't the finished article but he has the pace power and pure nuisance. I think coached well maybe if he doesnt leave hed make a great squad player especially if Diaz leaves? Another player i really dont want to lose. We are close to having 2 squads at least in the offense.
